pilot to bombardier

here's a short pilot that randall made. he won funding from turner and we're shooting it over with a full budget (and darker plotline) this wknd. isn't dan t delightful? surprised i didn't get cut from this one either. oh did i mention i was cut from talladega nights? edited clean out. one of these days, alice. straight through your jaw and to the moon.

How almost apropos! If only he could've "saved your asses" the night of the Virgin in the City audition.

I smell a winner. The whole concept is so Fox American, it's bound to be a huge suck-cess. Really.
Derek is so FAB

I thought you and dan were great but I was bothered by the edits and some aspect ratio problems. I didn't know if the clunky edits were a deliberate choice. If they were, they need to be stronger (i.e. more jumpy) because right now i just feels like a mistake.

I can't wait to see the full budget-style. Funny concept and great work by you and Dan.

yeah, i think the crappy editing and sound were a matter of having all of about an afternoon to put it together and submit it to turner. i hope.

casey, i was saying just about the EXACT same thing to Dan tonight. Wasn't 'bad' enough to be a choice.

but, yes, i agree.

could be edgier stylistically/conceptually, but i know they're re-toooooling it.

And when i said "bad" i didn't mean the acting. i meant the editing/prod. values.

outsider art is desired because it is unaware of its 'bad' choices. but purposeful bad choices can either work (tim olyphant in deadwood) or just seem lazy (you know who you are, you lazy SOB).
